Hamasaki Ayumi: Guilty

Just before her 10th year anniversary (8 April 2008), on 1 January 2008 Hamasaki Ayumi released her 9th major album Guilty which arrives one year after last year's bestseller album Secret. Ayumi's Oricon's No. 1 'glitter' and 'fated' which were released as a double A-sided single, 'talkin' 2 myself', and 'decision' featured as a side track on 'talkin' 2 myself' will also be included on this Ayumi's new 14-tracks Guilty. Though the official release date was 1 January 2008, Guilty was released in stores a week early.

The album was released in two versions in Taiwan, a CD+DVD and a CD-only version. The first initial copies on sale came with a limited edition photo book. The CD+DVD version included all the music videos from the single 'glitter' to the digital single 'Together When...', including making-ofs.

With Guilty, Ayumi marks her first official release outside of Asia. Whatsmore, Ayumi snatched the first time for any Japanese artist to release digitally in over 26 countries worldwide. Ayumi's official website announced this on 17 March 2008 that Guilty will be digitally released in North America, Oceania, Europe as well as Asian countries where the physical version of the album is already released in Apple iTunes stores. 'MY ALL' was covered by Anthony Martinez, a french pop singer under the name of "Mon tout" in French.

Guilty is my favourite album out of all Ayumi's albums so far! All the songs on Guilty are so personal... probably because of all the sadness that happened to her. 2008 is 1 of her toughest years that she has to face and survive through. Putting this aside, every single songs in Guilty are catchy. Don't believe me? Listen to Ayumi's 9th album Guilty!
