Hamasaki Ayumi: Guilty - GUILTY

'GUILTY' simply means that Ayumi's past still linger in her. At times, her past will appear and she just want to be left alone. Don't bother to ask her anything, just allow her to tell a sweet lie and make an obvious excuse. Ayumi is struggling in her to get past her past. Probably 'GUILTY' in this song is to reflect her guilt to those that tried to help her when she behaved this way.

ikura nigete mo nogarerarenai
doko made kako wa oikakete kuru
However far I escape, I can't have a clean escape
How far does my past chase after me?

sono uchi kako wa itsuka atashi ni
oitsuita ato oikosu no kana
I wonder if my past will catch up with
And pass me before long

kimi ni iwanai koto wo yurushite
Forgive me that I don't tell this to you

kikanaide sore ijou
ima wa mada kono mama de
miesuita ii wake wo sasete
Please don't ask me any more
Leave me this way now
And let me make an obvious excuse

hitomi no oku ni hanareta kokoro
kakushita mama de hohoemanai de
Please don't smile
Hiding your distant mind behind your eyes

kitto mou kimi wa wakatteru no ne
You already know that, don't you ?

iwanaide sore ijou
mou sukoshi ato sokushi
yasashii uso tsuita mama ni shite
Please don't say any more
Leave me just a bit more
And let me tell a sweet lie

kikanaide sore ijou
ima wa mada kono mama de
ii wake sasete
Please don't ask me any more
Leave me this way now
