'sending mail' is a song about a human who has a crush on someone and is unable to express through verbal words thus seeking help through written words but has trouble with it. Overall, 'sending mail' reflects a human's self confusion when they have difficulty expressing themselves through verbal words. Night is the only time where one can have their own time to fully focus to do their own stuff. This is also the time where some hate most as they will have trouble typing down their thoughts which they can't express in verbal words. Some tend to write in indirect and hard to understand words just to protect themselves. If you notice, Ayumi is one of them. Take the first 2 sentences of 'sending mail', it simply means that 'the night has arrived'; yet Ayumi wrote it in such a different way that you need to use your imagination to understand it.
