Arigatou Hamasaki Ayumi

" 私が歌うことで、たった一人でも、その歌に救われる人がいるかもしれない。 "
" Watashi ga utau koto de, tatta ichi-nin demo, sono uta ni sukuwa reru hito ga iru kamo shirenai."
" Even if there's only one person, there's a possibility that someone might be saved because of my song."

When I was reading her LOVE AND HOPE interview in the ViVi October 2011 issue, I found myself stuck at the above sentence which Ayumi has said. I couldn't read any further... Wonder why? The reason is simple: I am one of the many out there that have been saved by her songs and am very grateful to her. If you listen closely to Ayumi's songs, her songs are very personal and sincere... I can feel her strong desire to express herself  and reach out to people through her songs as I have the exact same problem in making people understand what I wanna say. So I totally understand the difficulty and frustration. In fact, some of her songs were actually expressing what I wanna say... probably this is the reason why I feel I can understand her in some aspects. Her strong commitment to this place where she belongs and cherishes has moved me to tears, certainly inspired me, greatly motivated me and most importantly saved me from my countless depressions. (✿◠‿◠)

Because of the above sentence, I was reminded of how much Ayumi has saved me. This drives me to start this Arigatou Hamasaki Ayumi (Thank You Hamasaki Ayumi) blog to express my heartfelt thanks to Hamasaki Ayumi  and not forgetting the Ayu's team. If you notice, in some of Ayumi's songs (e.g. Secret, Walking Proud), she is always wondering if her voice / song has reaches people. Thus my other intention of creating this blog, is to reach out to Hamasaki Ayumi - the opposite direction of hers. Even though I know the chance is super slim, I still set my mind to go for it and give it a try. Who knows... she might be reading this blog! ≧ω≦

Arigatou Hamasaki Ayumi is a very different blog and is not going to be just an ordinary Hamasaki Ayumi fan site where you see her latest juicy news, photos, wallpapers, interview, etc. I bet everyone knows that there's always a hidden meaning or story or experience behind each of her songs. As a tribute to Ayumi, I will try my best to unfold the hidden meaning or story or experience behind each of her songs and not missing out the translation of the songs lyrics.

最後に 私は私の心の底から浜崎あゆみに感謝いたします。
(Saigo ni... Watashi wa watashi no kokoro no soko kara Hamasaki Ayumi ni kansha itashimasu.)
Lastly... I would like to thank Hamasaki Ayumi from the bottom of my heart.
